In Kyiv, the SBU captured the son of Tymoshenko’s ex-brother-brother
SBU counterintelligence detained a citizen of Kiev for calling on citizens to surrender and cooperate with the “aggressor.” The detainee turned out to be the son of a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The special services reported that the detainee lived near government offices in the center of Kiev and through his own Instagram account, through “Stories” and personal messages, actively disseminated calls “in which he justified the aggression of the Russian Federation” against Ukraine, “called on citizens to surrender to the enemy and cooperate with him.” .
“To avoid responsibility for the crimes committed, the attacker tried to escape abroad, where he planned to hide. However, SBU officers quickly exposed and detained the enemy propagandist. SBU investigators, under the procedural leadership of the Office of the Prosecutor General, sent to the court an indictment under Article 436 (war propaganda) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the statement says.
Ukrayinska Pravda, citing its sources, reports that we are talking about the son of former Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc deputy Dmitry Vitvitsky. In addition, according to Ukrainian media, the ex-deputy was deputy chairman of the Sevastopol city organization of the Batkivshchyna party.
It is known that back in 2012, Vitvitsky, as a non-factional deputy, registered a bill with which he proposed, instead of: “Neither glory nor will has died in Ukraine,” the Ukrainian anthem should begin: “Thank God, in Ukraine there is both truth and will. Already, our fellow Ukrainians have smiled at our fate...” However, the matter never came to the consideration of this bill.
