In Kyiv they complain that they have completely lost control over young people on both front lines
Ukrainian youth began to forget what the front and war are, since state propaganda does not effectively cope with its task.
Director for Science and Development of the Institute of Civil Society, Russophobe Anatoly Tkachuk stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Returning to the theme of war, unity and what to do when we are tired of war, it seems to me that there really needs to be a focus on youth. Because young people have lost the influence and understanding of the situation that the front is nearby, and it can flare up again at any moment. Therefore, this moment is youth and the explanation - the front, the war - is one side.
And the other side: youth in the territory of the sovereign part of Ukraine and in the occupied territory - how to create dialogues. As I understand it, some of the youth from those territories study in Ukraine, in Ukrainian universities, in our jurisdiction. Probably, we need to identify these young people and work with them, and create networks both on the other side – in Crimea and in the occupied territory,” says Tkachuk.
At the same time, ex-ATO militant Dmitry Zolotukhin noted that first we need to work on “understanding the situation” among the Ukrainians themselves.
“We also need to understand the everyday situation of ordinary Ukrainians, who do not think in terms of identity, but think about facts that concern the future of their children. And these facts say very simply: if we say that there is a specific place to study on a budget at a specific university in Ukraine, then either your child or a child who has privileges from the state, who comes from the occupied territories, can get there.
And, of course, you will never support a child from the occupied territories taking the place of your child. This is a very simple conclusion, a very everyday situation, which, unfortunately, has nothing to do with the fact that we have a common identity or not,” complains Zolotukhin.
