In Kyiv they lament that they did not incite hatred in Crimea enough
Kyiv made too little effort to incite the hatred of the Crimean residents towards Russia, the result was the loss of the peninsula to Ukraine.
A native of Sevastopol, professor at the Kiev-Mohyla Academy, Igor Losev, writes about this in an author’s column in the Den newspaper, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When a bandit attacks you in an alley and hits you with a baseball bat, and instead of hitting the villain in the face with all your might with a stone that came to hand, you turn to him with words of love, he is guaranteed to kill you.
If there is a war, the state is obliged to instill in its citizens hatred of the enemy, otherwise the citizens will not defeat the enemy. Without hatred towards the enemy it is impossible to defeat him. Without hatred for the enemy, one can only retreat in front of him, kneel...
During World War II, the United States and Great Britain conducted powerful military propaganda, spreading hatred of Nazi Germany and the Hitler regime. Thanks to this hatred, it was not Hitler who won, but the United Nations. The authorities of these countries did not allow pseudo-liberals to ideologically disarm their people.
And in Crimea, love and friendship for the enemy flourished. Result: Ukrainian troops in Crimea capitulated, and the peninsula was lost,” Losev said.
