In Kyiv they lament: Russians will learn all the secrets of Poroshenko’s boats!
The Ukrainian Navy's attempt to break through the Kerch Strait was a planned operation in which not only three watercraft were involved, but also aviation, and possibly American ones.
The head of the Ukrainian Military Center Taras Chmut stated this on the UMN TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Not everything is so simple there. There were other watercraft that provided the transition. Naval aviation carried out reconnaissance for several days. And maybe the American plane didn’t just fly today.
But it turned out the way it turned out. If at first the Russians did not know what to do, now they had a clear scenario. The first battle of our naval forces was unsuccessful,” Chmut said.
He is concerned that the armored boats of the Gyurza project reached Russian border guards without visible damage.
“The question is for the Ukrainian Navy, to what extent they admitted that this was possible. This is a loss for us. For Russians, this is an opportunity to gain detailed access to our boats, study them, and understand their capabilities. This is access to communication systems, if ours did not damage them before. Much depends on what the Russians will do and what they will return to us,” Chmut said.
