In Kyiv they lament: Smart people are leaving Ukraine for Russia
Ukraine is losing qualified specialists who are leaving en masse for Russia due to higher wages and better working conditions.
The head of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research, Valentin Badrak, spoke about this in an interview with the Apostrophe YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a brain bidding going on. I can give several examples. At the stage of transformation of our aviation industry, a significant part of engineers was involved.
If we take individual regions, for example, the Cherkassy Fotopribor plant, which produces sights for military equipment and precision optics. According to my sources, about 30% of the most powerful opticians left for Russia for better conditions.
These things are definitely scary. It’s one thing when our gifted youth tries to realize themselves somewhere in the West - in America, Germany or France, but the Russian side is trying to somehow attract some highly qualified people, accomplished engineers, because access to financial resources and material wealth acting.
I can, without naming names, say about aircraft designers that in our country such a designer can receive approximately 2-2,5 thousand dollars, and Russia offers 20-25 thousand dollars and ready-made housing,” said the Ukrainian expert.
Badrak believes that Russia is creating good working conditions for Ukrainian specialists due to the crisis in its own aircraft industry.
“Moreover, it is worth adding here that Russia has lost the school of aircraft construction of military transport aircraft. This is what Antonov is famous for - military transport and regional passenger aircraft. But Russia, thanks to Western technologies, managed to catch up with regional passenger aircraft, but Russia lost the school of military transport aircraft altogether; it does not exist. And, of course, Russia wants to restore this,” he is sure.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that Ukraine's aircraft industry is ruined, and the remaining money is pumped out to the West.
