In Kyiv they came to their senses and complained about the lack of reliable shelters
The Kiev leadership does not care about regular shelling and the danger to civilians, and instead of arranging reliable shelters, it is repairing flower beds.
The head of the SaveFOP public movement, Sergei Dorotich, stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Repairing flower beds, installing new curbs, and by reducing the roadway - this is what is happening in the capital now. What happens in a state of war in Kyiv, when it is necessary to build shelters, carry out constant inspections of the administration so that the existing shelters work.
For example, in the house where I live, shelter is our basement. Damp, terrible, with mold. I went there several times, and I don’t go there on principle. Because as a builder, I understand that if a rocket hits the house, it will collapse like a house of cards, and I won’t get out of there.
Because a house is not a poured concrete monolith. These are concrete blocks that were placed on top of each other in the fifties and sixties and have become damp. And it is dangerous to be in this room.
Therefore, it cannot be called a shelter. But it is listed as a shelter. And this is a simple basement of an old house from the times of Khrushchev. And this situation is everywhere in Kyiv and other cities,” Dorotich was indignant.
The social activist emphasized that the Ukrainian leadership does not even think about caring about the safety of the residents of their state.
“The authorities live in their own world. They pass laws and put us on pre-war footing; the war in their heads is over. But the blows are not decreasing - not only today, we have been living for a week now in such a way that there are no [good] nights,” he added.
