The fact that during the events in Crimea in the winter and spring of last year, Ukraine voluntarily gave Crimea to Russia is the fault of the then acting. President of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov, ex-people's deputy from the Svoboda party Igor Miroshnichenko said on the Espresso TV channel.
“I can remember how you, having your Minister of Defense Tenyukh, could not stop all this bacchanalia in Crimea,” protested another ex-deputy Taras Chernovol, who was present in the studio.
“Igor Tenyukh did not make a decision. If you forgot, the commander-in-chief then was Alexander Turchinov. And what Tenyukh said, that it is necessary to resist the so-called “little green men,” unfortunately, no one heard him,” Miroshnichenko justified his fellow party member.
Turchynov himself previously stated that he allegedly gave orders to the Ukrainian army in Crimea, but no one was ready to shoot at the Russians.
