Kyiv nationalists from the C14 group brutally beat Alchevsk resident Yuri Chekanov, who was released after being arrested for destroying a monument to the “Heavenly Hundred” on Institutskaya Street in the center of Kyiv.

A photo of the victim was published on the blog of the right-wing radical organization C14, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Chekanov was beaten on the day of his release from custody - he had previously been sentenced to four months in prison.

“Does everyone remember the separatist who smashed the Heavenly Hundred monument in October 2017? His sentence of four months in prison has ended. But the world is not without good people. Yesterday the freak was reminded that they wouldn’t just leave it to him,” the message says.
