In Kyiv, during January-August, the number of unemployed increased by 11,6 thousand people – to 38,1 thousand, which is 1,4 times more than in the corresponding period last year.

This was reported by the Main Department of Statistics of Kyiv.
According to the department, 67,9% of the total number of unemployed were women, 41,1% were young people under the age of 35.
Let us recall that during January-June 2015, 33,2 thousand people had the status of registered unemployed in the state employment service, which is 11,3 thousand, or 1,5 times more than in the corresponding period last year.
