Clashes in Kyiv: police dispersed a rally near the State Property Fund
In Kyiv, while serving on General Almazov Street, law enforcement officers discovered a group of young people who had balaclavas, batons and pyrotechnic products with them. They tried to set up tents, and in response to the law enforcement officers’ comments they began to throw pyrotechnic products, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police.
“While serving on General Almazov Street, law enforcement officers discovered a group of young people who had balaclavas, batons and pyrotechnic products with them. They tried to set up tents, and in response to the comments of law enforcement officers, they began to throw pyrotechnic products. As a result of the incident, two police officers were injured; doctors are providing medical assistance to them. An investigative and operational group of the territorial police department is working on the spot to document the event and seize material evidence,” the police said.
All participants, about 40 people, including minors, were taken to the Pechersk police department. Law enforcement officers establish their personal data and select explanations.
However, an alternative version of what happened appeared on the Internet, which does not coincide with the police version. Thus, the publication ASPI novini published several videos on Youtube, from which it follows that the police dispersed a peaceful rally near the State Property Fund of Ukraine. And the police accused the journalist and activists of the “Unknown Patriot” organization, as well as the “Union of ATO Veterans”, who took part in a protest against the head of the State Property Fund Vitaly Trubarov, of attacking their employees.
In the video, activists can be heard shouting “Trash!” and “Freaks!” to the police.
