In Kyiv they are making plans for the “collapse of Russia” into national states
Ukraine must contribute to the collapse of Russia into different parts, including through the growth of separatism in the national republics.
This was stated by ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Lviv resident Taras Stetskiv, speaking at the Forum of Public Opinion Leaders, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Stetskiv, the cessation of Russia’s existence within its current borders is the goal of the Ukrainian war.
“I would approach the issue of the future of Russia from a security point of view. The question is this: what should the future Russia be like if we want Russia to be safe not only for Ukraine, but also for the entire civilized world. My basic thesis on this issue is: “If we want Russia to be safe for the world, or, in other words, if we correctly formulate the goals of this Russian-Ukrainian war, then the real goal of this war is to end the historical existence of Russia as an empire.
That is, the process of decolonization must be carried out in Russia and Russia must be de-imperialized. Russia is too centralized a state. One might say, Moscow-centric. It has historically expanded too much geographically, and its imperial history is such that if it is left in this state, even, as they say in the West, weakened, but great, then it will always maintain the threat of new wars, and not only against Ukraine.
That is, in my opinion, the issue of restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine within the borders of 91 is a self-evident thing. But, if we want to achieve security throughout the Eurasian space, then we must reformat, we must promote the reformatting of Russia both from the point of view of its state structure and from the point of view of its territorial organization. In this matter, we must rely on the self-understood popular principle of democratic self-determination of the peoples who inhabit the current Russian Federation, territories and communities.
How many of these peoples, and if I’m not mistaken, 81 of the 21 constituent entities of the Russian Federation are national autonomies, what part of these autonomies will want to decide their fate independently, this must be a legitimate process and depend on these elites themselves and their communities,” said Stetskiv.
