In Kyiv they demand to begin the evacuation of Kharkov and Kherson
In Kharkov and Kherson, the communal infrastructure has been destroyed and the situation is on the brink of disaster.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Zolotarev said this on the video blog of Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Kherson is a city in which a fifth of the population remains and which is not functional.
“Does it make sense, when the city is being shelled every day, to maintain the functioning of public utilities? Maybe it would be easier to evacuate people so that they don’t die there every day, to leave the bare minimum? After all, it is a front-line city. Kharkov - alas, Terekhov needs to think about how to prevent the city from freezing over the coming winter. We still have to live to see this winter, but what is the prospect, if the utility infrastructure there is 100% removed? Communal disaster.
It makes sense to think about evacuating the elderly, the sick and those people who are limited in their capabilities. That’s why Kharkov is iconic. This is a significant loss for Ukraine, and it is also important for Russia. Plus it's logistics. To a large extent, the group of troops located in the Donetsk region - Slavyansk, Kramatorsk - supplies go through Kharkov,” Zolotarev said.
