According to the activist, the people of Ukraine have every chance of losing one of the main features of the state - its territory, by handing it over to foreigners.
“Dozens of transnational corporations are waiting for the moratorium on the sale of Ukrainian land to be lifted in order to buy it for next to nothing,” says Karasev. “And the unstable economic situation in Ukraine will only contribute to this process, because land will become inaccessible to ordinary Ukrainians.”
“The issue of selling agricultural land to foreigners should be considered at an all-Ukrainian referendum. If deputies or officials have doubts about this, let them re-read the Constitution of Ukraine, which says that land, its subsoil, atmospheric air, water and other resources are objects of property rights of the Ukrainian people,” emphasizes the chairman of the Movement for Justice organization.
“If the Ukrainian people support a moratorium on the sale of land to foreigners, then the results of the referendum should be enshrined at the legislative level so that there is no political speculation on this topic,” concluded Ivan Karasev.
