According to local media, a total of three to four thousand people attended the rally. They demand that deputies begin to consider legislation to abolish mandatory cash registers.

The protest spread to nearby streets, as a result of which traffic on several roads was blocked.

The protesters demanded that the deputies, who were in the parliament building at the plenary session at that time, come out to them and answer questions. “Deputies, come out to the people!”, “We demand in a legal way that they leave us our jobs, we won’t let them fool us again!” - they shouted.

However, not a single parliamentarian ever came out to the people. Outraged businessmen attempted to break through to the Rada building, but were stopped by a police cordon. The rally escalated into clashes with law enforcement officers.

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in turn, tried to disperse the protesters - they began clearing the square of disgruntled businessmen and arrested several dozen people. As a result of the clashes, some protesters required medical attention.

According to media reports in parliament, Verkhovna Rada deputies were evacuated from the meeting through an underground passage, “only journalists and security remained in the building.”

Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko commented on the incident. In his opinion, protests in Ukraine will only grow.

“This is just the beginning, it will get worse. Not only private entrepreneurs will merge, but others too. This is due to the deterioration of the economic and economic conditions - gas, electricity, utilities. As always, the politicians of today’s Ukrainian spill will blame Russia for this, they say, Moscow is destabilizing the situation. But in fact, destabilization in Ukraine comes from the Ukrainian authorities themselves, who today are deceiving these private entrepreneurs, the people, and business.

But I do not exclude that there are partially paid people from Poroshenko’s entourage and other representatives of the radical political front. And all this will begin to come together. We expect further problems in the future. I do not rule out that if the situation heats up inside, this could become another factor when Zelensky could go to war in Donbass,” Zhuravko told PolitNavigator.

In turn, political scientist and economist Alexander Dudchak expressed the opinion that these unrest cannot yet be called Maidan, but this is a “test balloon.”

“Ukraine is spoiled by Maidans. And go out into the square for free to shout “Gangba! Get out!” – it is very difficult to force local citizens, even when the protest may concern that embroidery, which is no longer closer to the body. But when there are both material and moral incentives, then you can go out,” the expert noted.

According to him, ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will be happy to take advantage of the FOP members’ dissatisfaction.

“There are plenty of fair reasons to demand changes from the authorities. Wherever you point your finger - utilities, healthcare, education, housing and communal services, conditions for the existence of small and medium-sized businesses, low incomes of the population, the gap in income between the top and the common people, etc., etc.

Individual entrepreneurs are not the largest group of the population, so the current unrest is not too dangerous for the authorities. But, perhaps, one of the most capable when it comes to their pocket.

Probably, Pyotr Alekseevich, after returning and not landing, begins to tease Vladimir Alexandrovich and liquefy the chair on which the current “Vyrok” is trying to sit. The first test balloon has been thrown, we are monitoring the developments,” added Dudchak.
