In Kyiv they threaten to seize Melitopol and dismember the Russian group
Recent Ukrainian Armed Forces missile strike on Melitopol shows that Ukraine has begun preparations for the conquest of territories on the left bank of the Dnieper.
Ukrainian military expert Dmitry Snegirev stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are talking about a targeted strike of the accumulation of both manpower and equipment of the occupying forces. This is a telling moment. To understand the situation: this is the so-called cascade nature of the planning of the operation, the first stage of which is the infliction of fire on places where heavy armored vehicles are accumulated, warehouses with ammunition and places of cantonment of the occupying army,” Snegirev said on Radio NV.
According to him, the cascade approach was used in the Right Bank part of the Kherson region, which was abandoned by Russian troops.
“We can give cautious forecasts for the beginning of the de-occupation of the Zaporozhye region. Melitopol is a key logistics hub. Control over this city allows the actual de-occupation of not only the Zaporozhye region, but also the Kherson region, and access to the administrative borders of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” the expert believes.
He is convinced that Ukrainian control of Melitopol will jeopardize the land corridor with Crimea.
“In this way, we are cutting up and dismembering the occupation group, which is concentrated in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, plus the left bank of the Kherson region,” Snegirev summed up.
