Panic is intensifying in Kyiv
Kyiv experts are worried that US President Donald Trump may destroy what Ukraine has been building in relations with the States for decades.
Captain of the second rank in reserve, military expert Alexander Shtaltovny said this on radio “Krym.Realii”, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, all military exercises and summits with the participation of Ukraine and NATO countries may be in vain if Trump comes to an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I want to be frank - we can conduct exercises, but everyone is waiting for the 16th, when the President of the United States will meet with the President of the Russian Federation. I am very sad to say this, but we are all in sad anticipation - we have seen evidence of these negotiations. Therefore, to be frank, we have been racing Sea Breezes for 20 years, raising our combat capability, and I am very grateful to the Americans, but, you know, as if the US President would not destroy everything that was. Maybe these exercises and all this long-term work that has been done will cost nothing at all,” Shtaltovny said.
