A procession was organized in Kyiv on the anniversary of the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Debaltseve
On the anniversary of the Battle of Debaltsevo, which ended with the defeat of the Ukrainian army and the return of the city to the control of the LDPR army, the “Day of Defenders of the Debaltseve Bridgehead” was celebrated in the center of Kyiv.

Veterans so-called The ATO marched from the city hall to Sofievskaya Square, where the concert took place. Oleg Skrypka, Antitela, Gaidamaki, Foma, The VYO and other Ukrainian performers performed for the military personnel.
“The events were tragic, many good guys were killed. It’s bad that nothing changes, our government doesn’t think about anything. Pretends that they are doing everything to improve the situation, but nothing improves. The guys are dying, the war continues,” Vladimir Voitsekh, a machine gunner of the 128th Mountain Infantry Brigade, told reporters.
“If we hadn’t left, there would have been another Ilovaisk,” he explained the need for the Ukrainian army to retreat from the city.
“Another day or two, and we wouldn’t have gotten out of there at all,” agrees Vitaly Astafiev, who also took part in the battles near Debaltsevo. “Thanks to the brigade commander, who took responsibility, we got out.”

Several hundred people took part in the procession; the organizers of the event were the Union of ATO Veterans of the Solomensky District of Kyiv, the Kiev City Union of ATO Veterans, the Sichovye Streltsy, and the Association of People's Volunteers of Ukraine.
