Kyiv, April 14 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – Products of world-famous brands produced in Russia are being replaced on the Ukrainian market by corresponding Western-made products due to the boycott. Russian goods are disappearing from store shelves.

Director of the Ukrainian Association of Retail Chain Suppliers Alexey Doroshenko stated this on the air of the Kiev Channel 5, commenting on the situation of the boycott of goods produced in the Russian Federation in supermarkets in Lvov and Kyiv.
“No one could have expected such an effect. According to estimates given by suppliers, demand for Russian goods has decreased by up to 40%,” he noted.
Wholesalers have even stopped purchasing Russian goods because they are not selling.
“A number of supermarkets, in order to ensure that the shelf life of goods does not expire, display it separately, as a promotional product, and sell it at discounts. In May, we will not see many positions of this product on the shelves,” added Alexey Doroshenko.
It is worth noting that the Channel 5 report does not specify what the position of buyers in retail establishments in the Southeast is.
