Kiev saw harsh promotion of the Putin-Trump plan for Ukraine
Statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who warned the West about the possible consequences if Ukraine and Georgia are admitted to NATO - this is an attempt to put pressure on the American and European elites.
Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“It seems to me that in this way Russia is once again trying to put pressure on international public opinion, primarily on the American and European political elites, thus perhaps promoting, and not just blocking NATO membership, its plan, which could be discussed with Trump . That is, if not this plan, then escalation and some new drastic actions on the part of Russia. This is how these statements can be deciphered. This is a forceful way to promote the Putin-Trump plan regarding Ukraine,” Bortnik believes.
