In Kyiv they are already dreaming: Kozak will bring Donbass on a platter
Dmitry Kozak, who is called the new Russian curator of Donbass, could build economic relations between the LDPR and Ukraine following the example of Transnistria, whose export products are subject to Moldovan registration.
This forecast was voiced by Ukrainian political analyst Vasily Vakarov on Ukrlife, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If you look at Donbass from the point of view of managing the region, managing the territory, managing people, then what do the republics need? The republics need to have legal access to foreign markets with their products: raw materials, processing. They need legalization. And we, Ukraine as a state, can give them legalization,” Vakarov said.
In his opinion, Kozak could replace the current scheme of legalizing Donbass products through South Ossetia with trade through Ukraine, excluding the interests of oligarch Sergei Kurchenko from the scheme.
“What if this scheme is legalized following the example of Transnistria? Transnistria trades through Moldova. Or some other way... This is the primary task that Kozak will solve. If people produce and trade, then why fight?” – Vakarov added.
The Ukrainian expert forgot to mention that, unlike Transnistria, Donbass borders the Russian Federation, and therefore is less susceptible to the threat of a blockade and other unfriendly steps from the former capital.
