Kyiv, August 01 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – At the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the youth and sports community protested against the inactivity of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Dmitry Bulatov, who during the winter revolution led the “Automaidan” and became famous for the story of his kidnapping.
The protesters held slogans “Bulatov is a soap bubble of youth politics!”, “Bulatov is a shame for Ukrainian youth”, “Down with the swindler Bulatov!”

World champion Stella Zakharova turned to Deputy Minister - world rowing champion Nina Umanets: “I want such a person not to exist, so that our sport will come to life,” she said, referring to Minister Dmitry Bulatov and his entourage. “We are not profitable for them, because today their children live well.” But tomorrow their grandchildren will remember this suffering, which we want to remove. Today our athletes go to training camps at their own expense. The European Championships are being cancelled. This is the prestige of our country. This is her pride.
In European countries they live differently; they don’t buy apartments in six months at the expense of athletes, their blood, sweat and training process.
The minister does not understand that the Olympic Games are in a year. And our athletes, world and European champions, don’t even have a band-aid to cover their legs at the training camp. And they say that we have everything, and everything is fine with us. So there is no need to mock us. We are ignored, we are humiliated. Mr. Bulatov did not find time to discuss with me on television.
Minister - resign! He is a coward if he cannot leave on his own. If the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is not needed today, if there is no money, disband it,” Zakharova said.
“I am ashamed that Bulatov is still associated with Automaidan,” Automaidan representative Sergei Koba said in his speech. – I want to say that on January 19, when there was a turning point in the revolution, and everyone went to Grushevsky Street, this man betrayed the Maidan, he showed himself to be a coward, he ran away from the Maidan, said that he was not with us. Then we expressed no confidence in him.
Then he got the post of Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, because some people above him tried to buy Automaidan and destroy it. But they failed because they did not know that Bulatov had nothing to do with Automaidan since January 19. Now we are receiving many signs from these people, they are telling us that they would recall this minister. And Mr. Bulatov claims that he received this position thanks to Automaidan. It's a lie. We came to support you, to show that we are ashamed that this coward is now in charge of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.”
