Kyiv has already come to terms with the loss of Mariupol for Ukraine

Currently, Russia confidently controls the Sea of Azov, and Ukraine may even lose access to the Black Sea.

Ukrainian military expert Taras Chmut stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Thus, he published a post in support of the “importance” of the Ukrainian-American Sea Breeze exercises, which started yesterday in the Black Sea near Odessa.

At the same time, in response to the proposal of the user Alexander Gorokh about the need to land troops in the Crimean Balaklava, Chmut declared a lack of forces and means. And in response to the proposal to defend Mariupol as a port city, he added: “Everything there has already been lost. We wouldn’t lose the Black Sea here.”

Further, Alexander Gorokh clarifies whether it is possible to apply some countermeasures in response to the strengthening of the military component of the Russian Federation in the Sea of Azov.

“Countermeasures should have been taken two years ago. Everything we can do now will not give results immediately. Of course, something is being done, something is being imitated, but on the whole the Russian Federation is keeping Azov behind it. Unfortunately,” Chmut answers him.
