Kyiv already agrees to leave the LDPR its own police force
Ukraine will not be able to return the Donbass republics to its composition by military means.
Nikita Vasilenko, a professor at the Kyiv Institute of Journalism, said this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, integration will have to take place peacefully, in accordance with the Minsk agreements, and order on these lands will have to be restored by local residents, and not by immigrants from Western Ukraine.
“We will not recapture Donbass by force under any circumstances. Firstly, the two army corps, of course, are Russian mercenaries and so on, but these are people, every fourth of them has a Russian passport, let’s not forget. This is firstly, and secondly, this is 40 thousand. We will never overcome them by force - except for words, we have nothing for this, because this is war, a cumbersome war.
I think that to some extent, very soberly and very consistently, Zelensky will try to implement the Minsk agreements. They will be included on the terms that he himself signed in 19. Why do you think they are unacceptable? What difference does it make, if our security forces enter there, not even the army, then the local police will still be disarmed - who will leave the tanks to the local police? And if they don’t leave the tanks, who will restore order there? From Ivano-Frankivsk, or what? They will direct their own,” said the professor.
“So one way or another, remember, after the war, the security forces - first there was denazification, they elected a Jew as the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, but there weren’t enough Jews for everything in post-war Germany, they began to take on former SS employees who had not undergone denazification or had passed, but this there were police and intelligence services. So here too, they will hire former security officials. I don’t think this is critical - if we want to return Donetsk and Lugansk, then we must return it peacefully,” Vasilenko said.
