This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik, according to whom Lyovochkin found himself in a dangerous situation today.
“In the new geopolitical and internal political game, no one needed him,” the expert believes. “It’s in everyone’s interest for him to be the last one for the situation on the Maidan.” Lyovochkin has bad relations with Yanukovych, Avakov, and part of the American elite. If the situation somehow resolves, it is necessary to appoint someone to blame for the Maidan in order to make the return of the same Yanukovych possible. This is the real situation today. There is a possibility that Yanukovych may return to the country. The possibility of returning members of the former team, family, for example. And for this you need to appoint someone as extreme and whitewash the rest.”
Bortnik also did not rule out that Lyovochkin “played some games and accumulated too many enemies.”
