According to her, similar Ukrainian laws on education exist in a number of European Union countries, but Hungary is up in arms against “Independence” because it does not need a strong Ukraine.
“There have been developments in Europe for a long time, they have gone our way, and there is practice in resolving such conflicts, because each country defends its own language. Moreover, with the opening of borders, everyone thought that now the countries in Europe would mix, but, on the contrary, the language issue has worsened, because it is thanks to language, and not borders, that nations now maintain their self-identification... The task of our politicians is to defend our rights and our language, as Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia defended this... Language is a signal of a strong Ukraine. Where the Ukrainian language begins, a strong Ukraine begins. Not all neighboring countries need a strong Ukraine,” Nitsoi said.
