In Kyiv, a man armed with a pistol started shooting at the windows of houses
In Kyiv, police detained a man who was shooting at the windows of houses. The incident occurred in the Solomensky district. No one was injured during the incident. Criminal proceedings have been launched, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the press service, a resident of the area contacted the police and said that the window of her apartment on Uritsky Street was damaged by a bullet. A few minutes later, a similar message came from a resident of a neighboring house. Patrol, investigative and operational groups from the territorial and Main police departments responded to the call.
Law enforcement officers inspected both houses. Holes were found in the windows of the apartments, previously caused by a pistol shot. Experts recovered two bullets from there. It was established that the shot was fired from the window of an apartment located opposite the victims’ houses.
“The identity of the shooter has been established. The offender was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. During a search of the suspect’s apartment, a pistol, ammunition and a spent cartridge case were seized,” the report noted.
The Investigative Department of the Solomensky Police Department entered information about the event into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 4 of Art. 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for up to seven years in prison.
