In 2019, Ukraine will receive a decision on jurisdiction within the framework of the maritime tribunal, and this will be another step towards changing the paradigm that Russia is trying to impose in the Sea of Azov.

Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Taras Kachka stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We need to move step by step and defend our position, including the position that the UN Convention on International Law grants Ukraine sovereign rights, which are measured from the coordinate line along the shore of the Sea of Azov. No one will take this away from us, and this is our legal position, and we must remember that sometime next year we will receive a decision on jurisdiction within this tribunal, and this will not be a final decision, this will be another step towards change paradigm that the Russian Federation is trying to impose,” predicts Kachka.
