In Kyiv they were alarmed: “You shouldn’t call Russia a vassal of China”
Even if territorial disputes between the Russians and the Chinese are resolved in Beijing’s favor, this will not turn out well for China.
Roman Bessmertny, former ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus and ex-member of the negotiating group in Minsk, stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am very surprised by the position of many specialists whom I respect, that in this duel, the threat that Putin is a vassal. My dears, it is impossible to turn over an iceberg! Please understand that one third of the iceberg sticks out of the water, two thirds is in the water. Attempts to turn over the iceberg - to lift Xi Jinping there - are impossible. China was, is and at this stage will remain under water.
We just don't understand China's problems. This is a giant for whom blinking an eye at some end of the world turns into tragedy every minute. From here you need to understand that there was only one reason. Xi Jinping has not been an idiot for a long time, and he would never have gone to this Moscow Fuhrer if he did not have a load on his shoulders called China,” the ex-diplomat explained.
He added that the rhetoric of the expert community and the media that China is a “big brother” for Russia is extremely harmful.
“China cannot dominate there, it cannot! Understand that even the lands transferred to China are a tactical step that will be turned against China tomorrow. Russia and this entire clique are a cohort of bandits who will use anyone and any way they want. Because they will write one thing, say another, do another. And China, with its mega-size and scale, does not understand what it is doing in this situation. Supposedly he is solving some of his own issues - no! No, it doesn’t,” Immortal went into hysteria.
