Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kirilenko stated this on the air of “Ukrainian Radio”.

“Of course, we are ready to host all 43 Eurovision participating countries. Including a representative from Russia. Russia itself can find a way out of this situation by offering a participant who does not have problems with Ukrainian legislation. And in this case, this problem will be solved very quickly,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Kirilenko also expressed hope that Russia will accept such conditions to ensure participation in the song competition.

“The provocation with Eurovision on the part of Russia is only a small link in a large chain of provocations and actions aimed at escalating the situation in Ukraine,” he asserts.

For their part, Russia's Channel One reported that they were rejecting the European Broadcasting Union's (EBU) official proposal that Russian participant Yulia Samoilova sing at Eurovision live from Moscow rather than in Kiev.

The press service of the Russian TV channel noted that, according to the Eurovision rules, the broadcasting country must provide all participants with “the opportunity to obtain an entry visa for the entire period of the event.” “Channel One” explained that Samoilovy’s refusal to enter the territory of Ukraine violates the rules of the competition.
