A car with four children exploded in Kyiv
As a result of a car explosion in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kyiv, four children were injured and hospitalized, two of them in serious condition, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the National Police of Ukraine, Vyacheslav Abroskin, the press service of the capital police reports.
Now an investigative and operational team led by the leadership of the capital’s police and explosives department is working at the scene of the incident.
“Today, June 14, at 16:42, the Kyiv police received a report of an explosion on the street. Chernobyl in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kyiv,” the police noted.
Law enforcement officers found out that the epicenter of the explosion was an old car that had been parked for a long time near one of the houses. It was previously established that four children aged from 5 to 11 years old decided to play in the car, for which they climbed into the interior of the car. There they found an object that exploded.
“All four children were hospitalized at the Okhmatdyt hospital, two of them are in serious condition. We are finding out what exactly exploded, but it’s too early to talk about anything,” said Vyacheslav Abroskin.
He added that the police are carrying out the necessary set of measures to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as the people involved.
