In Kyiv they asked the question: How can we be at war with Russia for 8 years if it invades in a month?
Those in Ukraine who say that Russia has already attacked should be shown endless statements by EU officials threatening Moscow in the event of an invasion.
Ukrainian political consultant Vladimir Granovsky stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The situation in Donbass is very complex and multifaceted, and it cannot be reduced to one interpretation. In Donbass, the global interests of the United States and Russia collide at the same time, in Donbass there is a confrontation between Ukraine and Russia, in Donbass there is a confrontation between two parts of Ukraine, two parts of the population of Ukraine. And they all exist.
And when someone says that you can’t say that this is a civil war, you need to say that this is a war between Russia and Ukraine - and where is this war between Ukraine and Russia taking place? This war is on the territory of Ukraine. So, does it mean that Russia has already invaded the territory of Ukraine?” he asked.
“Then please tell me, maybe I don’t really understand, but watching the news on TV channels, listening to high-ranking US and EU politicians and officials who say that if Russia invades, we will impose terrible sanctions.
The foreign ministers of the EU states say: “in the event of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.” I can’t understand, guys, you’ve forgotten how to speak, you don’t know what times are? Can't you tell the difference between past tense, future tense, and present tense? So has it invaded or will it invade?” - Granovsky is ironically perplexed.
