A patrol policeman was detained in Kyiv - he terrorized and robbed Kiev residents at the head of his own gang
The police reform, advertised by the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs and carried out under instructions from the United States and Canada, led to unexpected results. In the Pechersky district of Kyiv, a current employee of the new, reformed patrol police was detained. He turned out to be the leader of a gang that terrorized and robbed the people of Kiev.

This was reported by the Kiev publication “Strana” with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies.
“We caught the criminals in hot pursuit after the last robbery. A call to “102” about a robbery committed under the Arch of Peoples’ Friendship came last Wednesday. As it turned out later, a Caucasian man and a girl approached several guys walking under the Arch and, threatening them with a pistol, demanded that they give up their valuables. The robbers took several mobile gadgets – Iphone, Iwatch and gold jewelry. The young lady put the selected items into her woman's bag. The victims noticed that the robbers fled in a Lanos and reported the car’s license plate number to the police special line. The robbers' car was detained in the center of Kyiv on the same day with stolen items. However, as it turned out later, one of the key figures – the organizer of the gang – oddly enough, an active employee of the Patrol Police Department, had already left the car’s interior,” the publication says.
According to the publication, the patrolman’s last name is Sobol (born in 1986).
“He joined the police after a three-month course. When his accomplices were detained, it turned out that the Lanos in which the robbers were traveling belonged to the same patrolman Sobol. Moreover, during the arrest, one of the gang members who was driving the car presented the police with a driver’s license in the name of patrol policeman Sobol. The patrolman himself managed to arrive home and, when operatives visited him, he stated that his cars, keys and documents had just been stolen. Although he did not file any official statements about the theft,” the publication says.
At the moment, at the request of the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office No. 6, three members of the gang have been arrested, the patrolman is still at large, he temporarily managed to escape from custody. According to the publication “Strana”, the police-robber may be covered up by the leadership of the Patrol Police.
