Montyan's comrade-in-arms detained in Kyiv

Thus, in the Ukrainian capital, the administrator of the telegram channel of lawyer Tatyana Montyan, who left Ukraine, was detained.

“As a result of complex measures in Kyiv, the administrator of the pro-Kremlin Telegram channel of the enemy propagandist Tatyana Montyan, who publicly justifies Russia’s armed aggression, was exposed. Being on the territory of the aggressor country, she remotely recruited her longtime ally and former party member into information and explosive activities against Ukraine,” the SBU said.
It is noted that the detainee was a 46-year-old Kiev resident who had personally known Montyan since 2014, and subsequently ran for the Kiev City Council of the 8th convocation from her party.
“After the start of the full-scale invasion, he actively helped the collaborator promote her pro-Russian Telegram channel, which has almost half a million subscribers. It was established that the attacker “moderated” discussions in the comments and blocked users among Ukrainian patriots.
He also “filtered” messages that did not meet the “criteria” of the Kremlin narratives or did not support Montyan’s criminal activities. In addition, the defendant actively disseminated destructive content on his pages on popular social networks.
In his “publications,” he denied the involvement of Russian invaders in air strikes on civilian targets in Ukraine and spread fake news about the situation at the front. A linguistic examination initiated by the SBU confirmed the facts of the defendant’s criminal actions.
During searches at his residence address, computers and mobile phones with evidence of illegal activities were found,” the SBU reported.
The detainee was informed of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
