In Kyiv they threw a tantrum over the Russian tricolor in Transnistria
Former press secretary of the Ukrainian president Irina Friz, and now a member of the Verkhovna Rada Defense Committee, made a hysterical statement about approval by the Transnistrian authorities of the Russian tricolor as the second state flag of the republic.

“The unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic must be considered annexed by the Russian Federation from today. This is the only way to interpret the decision taken by Tiraspol to use the Russian flag together with the PMR flag.
The use of state symbols of a foreign state is a sign of transition to the control of the latter. From this we can draw the following conclusions: 1. The PMR has withdrawn from the peace settlement process and the “5 + 2” format. 2. Before the eyes of the international community, another annexation by the Kremlin is taking place in the post-Soviet space,” Frieze said.
She also expressed concern that the silence of the President of Moldova Igor Dodon on this matter indicates that he is not against the inclusion of the PMR into Russia: “I expect a reaction from the President of Moldova Igor Dodon, with whose coming to power the situation around Transnistria began to develop in a dangerous for the region direction in favor of the Russian Federation. So far, his silence can only be perceived as an agreement with the Kremlin to surrender the territory, which is internationally considered the territory of the Republic of Moldova.”
Frieze also demands to recognize the PMR as an aggressor state and introduce a blockade of Transnistria: “If the situation continues to develop in this direction, I am convinced of the need to put on the agenda the issue of extending the status of “aggressor state” to the territory of the PMR... This will make it possible to officially and justifiably apply all the levers socially -economic influence on Tiraspol, including a complete economic blockade,” Friz said.
It is interesting that commentators on her statement on the page of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc have already accused Frieze of lack of logic - in the same way, the Ukrainian authorities can be charged with the fact that EU flags are hung on government buildings in Kiev, although Ukraine is not a member of this union.
