In Kyiv they launched a maidan against Poroshenko
The Batkivshchyna party, led by Ukrainian presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko, organized a rally near the Verkhovna Rada demanding the impeachment of President Petro Poroshenko.
The Kiev branch of “Fatherland” published a video of the event on its Facebook page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The protesters marched along Khreshchatyk towards the presidential administration, and then headed to the parliament building.
“The investigation that journalists did when they discovered multimillion-dollar, more than 250 million, documented decisions through Ukroboronprom regarding corruption and the purchase of spare parts in Russia and their smuggling, and then the sale of the Armed Forces at exorbitant prices, means that this government simply betrayed the Ukrainian people . That is why Yulia Tymoshenko, together with other democratic forces: with Svoboda, the Radical Party, with those patriots who remained in parliament, is seeking the impeachment of Poroshenko,” Batkivshchyna deputy Ivan Krulko addressed the audience.
At the same time, realizing that the current president is unlikely to be impeached, Tymoshenko’s representative simply urged people not to vote for her main competitor.
“We will have a chance to make a real impeachment when people don’t vote for Poroshenko, and he doesn’t even make it to the second round. This will be impeachment when this pack leaves,” Krulko said.
