In Kyiv, they aimed to hold elections on closed lists to the Supreme Council of Crimea, but on the territory of Ukraine.
This initiative was made at a press briefing in Kyiv by Natalya Linnik, Deputy General Director of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine.

“If they follow the path of electing first to the parliament of Crimea, then these will be majoritarian districts,” she said. – Unfortunately, I now don’t remember the names and surnames that passed through the majority districts of Crimea. There are contradictions here, certain difficulties with representation. If we talk, for example, about holding local elections first, including in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, then we would propose a pure proportional system based on closed lists. Just to simplify the campaigning, since perhaps not all the individuals who came from Crimea are so well known to those citizens who now live in other territories of Ukraine.”
