The Russian Federation has installed reconnaissance equipment in the Black Sea.
Director of the Center for Global Studies Strategy XXI Mikhail Gonchar spoke about this on the Espresso TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia in the Black Sea at objects seized from Ukraine located in the Ukrainian sector of the Black Sea, meaning offshore structures, drilling rigs, production platforms, conductor blocks. It turned out that they successfully installed a whole list of various reconnaissance equipment there, which scans the entire space of the Black Sea between the Crimean Peninsula, captured by Russia, and the coast of Odessa, almost to Zmeiny Island,” the expert said.
According to Gonchar, it became known that thanks to these systems, the Russian Federation can know information about visits to the Black Sea by ships of the North Atlantic Alliance.
“Everything that goes to Ukrainian ports, from Ukrainian ports, calls by NATO ships - all this is under the control of the corresponding centimeter and millimeter range radar stations of the Niva type. Hydroacoustic underwater surveillance systems have also been installed, which scan the surrounding area from under the water. That is, they look at what is happening under water and above water,” he noted.
