In Kyiv they suspected something was wrong: Poroshenko is not selling assets in the Russian Federation and is not organizing the Holodomor in Crimea
Kyiv, August 16 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Petro Poroshenko demonstrates suspicious softness on the issue of Crimea; moreover, contrary to his election promises, he did not sell assets on the peninsula.
The magazine “Tizhden” writes about this.

“The head of the occupation tax department of Crimea recently admitted that the peninsula cannot fully provide itself with food without the help of Ukraine. Of course, food problems could significantly sober up the majority of Crimea from pro-Russian euphoria. But for some reason Ukraine is improving the image of the occupier in Crimea, depriving it of huge problems,” the publication says.
“Russia would have experienced a socio-economic and humanitarian catastrophe in Crimea if it were not for the comprehensive support of the occupier by the current government of Ukraine. By the way, the companies of Akhmetov and Firtash are operating quietly in Crimea and, it seems, the property of Petro Poroshenko has not yet been confiscated.
Poroshenko solemnly promised that when he is elected president, he will sell his business. However, society still has no information whether this actually happened, at least with part of the business located in the Russian Federation. After all, it is very difficult to resist a country in the vastness of which you have property,” notes Tyzhden.
