The publication says that one of the traders was selling Soviet orders, which he hid between Ukrainian flags and knitted bracelets.
Next to this layout, among the embroidered portraits, was a portrait of the Bolshevik leader.
“Next to the Kobzar there is also a portrait of Lenin. The woman asked for 600 hryvnia for embroidery.
“But a portrait of Lenin costs 800 hryvnia,” the saleswoman clarifies.
– Why is it more expensive than others?
“Well, forbidden symbols... It’s always more expensive,” she grins,” the publication reports the saleswoman’s explanation.
