In Kyiv they envy the Hermitage and want to put Bandera instead of Lenin
Ukraine allocates crumbs for the development of culture compared to Russia.
The head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, Anton Drobovich, stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Aren’t you sad that on those pedestals from which monuments were toppled, nothing is being put in place in their place? Here, not far from the demolished monument to Lenin, is a pedestal. There are no monuments to Bandera, Shukhevych, Konovalets, or Sutus. “I don’t see monuments to the martyrs of the Russian regime throughout the country,” the presenter asked.
“This is also news for me. Many pedestals were empty before the war. I personally went to the offices of officials and suggested organizing a public gathering... but it’s not just about money. The importance of culture is a ritual phrase for politicians; it is not the subject of serious political action.
For Russians, on the contrary, billions are spent on the Hermitage. And the director of the Hermitage does not hesitate to say that he is at the forefront of the Russian presence in Europe, this is his front and war. They take this area seriously, they understand the possible strategic consequences,” added Drobovich.
