Moldova “threw” Ukraine with the blockade of Transnistria - Chisinau did not complete it, having achieved economic concessions from Tiraspol. The Ukrainian magazine “Business Capital” writes about this.

“A couple of months ago, Moldova, very pretentiously, under the slogans of the fight against separatism and for territorial integrity, refused to purchase energy from Transnistria and began purchasing from Ukraine. The PMR budget, the revenue part of which is slightly more than half (according to some sources, as much as 80%) consists of foreign currency coming from Moldova in payment for this energy, immediately died. At all. Collapse began in the unrecognized republic; it became clear that another six months at most would be the end of the PMR. After which Moldova, having reduced the price per kilowatt by 0,2 euro cents, resumed purchases. Tiraspol breathed a sigh of relief - the inevitable catastrophe had passed. And Chisinau, having pathetically fought separatism and received help from Ukraine, benefited from the price by dumping Ukrainian suppliers that were no longer needed,” the publication says.
The publication believes that Moldova’s struggle with the independence of Transnistria is only a declaration, since the elites on both sides of the Dniester find a common language in matters of obtaining benefits, but for Ukraine, the destruction of the PMR is extremely necessary.
“Ukraine is interested in squeezing out the Russian military contingent from the PMR and in eliminating the criminal hole on its southern border. At the same time, up to one hundred thousand Ukrainian citizens permanently reside in the territory controlled by the PMR, for whom entry into the country cannot be denied and who, like the rest of the inhabitants of this territory, are subject to the massive influence of Russian propaganda. In fact, the captured Transnistria serves as a base for Russian special services and DRGs operating in the southern part of Ukraine. All this is true. But we must remember that in the Transnistrian issue, Moldova is not a friend or ally of Ukraine,” writes “Business Capital”.
