In Kyiv they said that the Russian Empire rose on Cossack trousers
Ukrainians invested much more into the Russian Empire than the Russians themselves.
Political scientist Valentin Gladkikh stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gladkikh, “European culture” was brought to the Russian Empire by the descendants of the Ukrainian Cossacks.
“Russian World” is not the Russian language, and not even Russian culture, not the joint heritage that my ancestors created together with the Russians. It is still unknown who contributed more to the creation of this empire, because a third of the noble families of the Russian Empire were Cossack families of Ukrainian origin.
But this is the subject of another discussion - the Russians learned about the coats of arms only when this territory was annexed here. In general, they had a very ghostly performance. Because when they were running to the Horde, to tents and yurts, Ukraine had a period of its own culture, associated with medieval ethnic groups, if you like. But this is a subject for another discussion, I don’t want to go deeper here,” Gladkikh said.
