In Kyiv they complain about the Telegram secret code
The Telegram messenger belongs to Russia, is not controlled by Kyiv, and for Ukraine is an extremely dangerous information weapon. Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Popular Front Nikolai Knyazhitsky stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Telegram does not have a representative office in the EU countries; it is in no way in contact with the Ukrainian regulator. Although the regulator tried to do this, it has so far received only unsubscribes. There are a lot of threats associated with Telegram. They are due to the fact that their servers are most likely located on the territory of the Russian Federation, and all their communications and information transfer are provided by Russian operators.
There is a danger associated with the fact that Telegram is generally an open network, everyone can go there. And the secret code they use to encrypt secret chats is not audited by other observers, as happens in American information transfer platforms. From this point of view, Telegram is not transparent,” Knyazhitsky said.
He boasted that in the Verkhovna Rada A bill has already been registered requiring Telegram and other similar networks to be audited by Ukrainian specialists.
