In Kyiv they complain about the war and tariffs, but they bashfully keep silent about the reason
Ukrainians are tired of the endless rise in tariffs and the ongoing war, from which Petro Poroshenko’s entourage benefits.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Zolotarev spoke about this on the YouTube channel “PolitWera”. At the same time, the expert did not clarify that the cause of both the war and the civil war was the rejection of the integration project proposed by Russia, the bet on nationalism and a pro-Western course, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukrainian society today is concerned about the issue of war and peace. Ukrainians do not want their children to die for no apparent reason, since the president, who promised to “end the war in two weeks,” has been dragging it out for five years now. For him, this war is a lifesaver, and he is completely and completely satisfied with the current state of affairs, as is his “war party,” that is, those who have settled comfortably enough and receive political and business benefits from this.
Ukrainians are concerned about wild tariffs, since from January 1, heat tariffs will increase by another 20%, and gas tariffs have been increased by 23%. Ukrainians are worried that medicine has been destroyed and it is impossible to get medical care if you don’t have money. The whole essence of medical reform boils down to the following: reducing patients by reducing the number of patients themselves,” he explained.
In addition, the expert noted the selfishness of Kyiv politicians, who could have stopped the mass death of Ukrainians back in 2014 if the war had affected their families personally.
“The people who call for war loudest will not die in the trenches. If in 2014 the “Major” battalion had been formed from the children of Poroshenko, Avakov, Lutsenko, Yatsenyuk and Parubiy, then I think the war would have ended quickly. And so - for some children a university in London and a residence permit in Britain, and for others - a hole two by one and a half meters,” concluded Zolotarev.
