In Kyiv they complain: “Ukraine is being deleted from the list of reliable transit countries”
Information about the sad state of the Ukrainian gas transportation system and the potential threat to everyone from Mejlis extremists colossally undermine Ukraine’s reputation at the international level.
VoxCheck project analyst Miroslava Markova stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is deliberately deleted from the list of reliable transporters, spreading fakes about the state of the Ukrainian gas transportation system, about accidents and keeping silent about the state of Russian pipes. Another narrative that Russian state media tried to create was that Ukraine could even be a threat to Russian flows,” Markova said.
“In early September, you know, in Crimea, Russian security forces conducted searches and detained five Crimean Tatars, in particular, one of the leaders of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Nariman Dzhelal, and charged them with allegedly sabotaging the gas pipeline in Perevalny,” the expert complains.
“Then on Russian television they had the cynicism to talk about the fact that if Ukraine allegedly organized such sabotage in Crimea, then, to quote Skabeeva verbatim, “it becomes alarming for Nord Stream 2.” Actually, they tried to turn Ukraine into a terrorist state, undermining us also at the international level,” Markova concluded.
