A revolt of shopkeepers is brewing in Kyiv
A new Maidan is brewing in Ukraine, in which small entrepreneurs can become participants.
Ukrainian economist, head of the “Successful Country” project Andrey Blinov, who drew attention to the situation in small businesses today, did not rule out such a development of events at a press conference in Kyiv.

People have numbers on their hands that they check. In the Dnieper region, I found out, the 325th line. Somewhere, they said, the count was almost in the thousands. At the same time, people, many of whom supported the Maidan, have a complete misunderstanding of how this can happen with the introduction of electronic reporting, and why the Ministry of Justice announced only on May 15 that such a form must be submitted by May 25, if the law was adopted back in November.”
At the same time, it was said that the number of these people is much greater than the participants in the credit Maidan, who since last year have been seeking recalculation of loans in foreign currency at the NBU rate at the time of conclusion of the agreement.
“Many of the protesters (of the credit Maidan - ed.) do not have any debt for housing at all,” says Blinov. – As a rule, this is a repurchased debt, there are intermediaries, and this is stimulated by political forces in order to change the leadership of the National Bank. It may surprise you, but, for example, some people associated with the Popular Front are very interested in the life of the credit Maidan, although their leader Yatsenyuk is the Prime Minister.”
