There is a problem in the Kyiv police - people do not want to work in it, there is a shortage of almost 1,5 thousand people
Today, the shortage in the capital’s National Police is more than 17% or almost 1,5 thousand employees. In order to change the situation, they are going to hold a competition in the second half of the year, during which they will look for new police officers and district officers.

“The number of employees of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv is more than 8 thousand employees, the shortage is 17,3%,” said Sergei Shumilo, deputy head of the Department of Human Resources of the National Police.
To solve the problem, they are going to look for police officers at job fairs for the unemployed.
He added that this year the staff of the National Police has been reduced by 138 people.
“The full reduction in numbers was used to strengthen the territorial unit in Kyiv of the Patrol Police Department,” he said.
In the second half of 2017, the National Police plans to announce a competition to fill vacant positions of police officers and local police officers.
