So, according to Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk, the riot occurred after the Tornadovites were brought to the pre-trial detention center from the court.

“When the Tornado fighters were brought from the court, they were locked in cells where prisoners are kept while their main cells are searched. One of the administration representatives, the controller, approached the Tornado workers. He said that while they were in court, sports equipment was taken from their cells. And besides, they hung so-called “accordions” - additional grilles that practically block the access of light to the chamber. In response to this, one of the prisoners, a Tornado man with the call sign Achilles, began to cut off his ear. In fact, he cut it off and threw it at this prison administration employee,” рассказал Mosiychuk on TV channel 112.

At the same time, the online newspaper “Strana”, citing its sources in the pre-trial detention center, reportedthat the short-term riot in the pre-trial detention center was suppressed.

“The one who cut off his ear was already taken to the hospital to be sewn on. Everyone else has already been taken to cells, but the crazy ones will still rock the boat,” the source told the publication.

The Internet resource “Censor.net” writes that during yesterday’s court hearing, one of the suspects, Maxim Glebov, confessed, telling how he took part in the illegal detention of people in the basement.

“After testifying between Glebov and former commander of Tornado Ruslan Onishchenko had a verbal altercation, during which Onishchenko threatened and mocked Glebov. During the transfer from the court to the Lukyanovskoye pre-trial detention center, according to the Censor.NET source, Glebov cut off his ear. The Tornadovites, while in the distribution box, began to demand that a doctor be called to the defendant Glebov to provide him with first aid. However, the doctor did not arrive immediately, as the administration of the pre-trial detention center feared that he would be taken hostage,” пишет “Censor.net”.
