Kyivstar denies the transfer of subscribers to service by another operator

Considering that this message directly concerns the Kyivstar company, we ask you to publish the company’s official position on this issue:
“Kyivstar did not transfer Crimean subscribers to other mobile networks. This is technically impossible, since currently all mobile communication services in Crimea are suspended. On August 11, a group of armed people entered the Kyivstar office in the city of Simferopol. As we were informed, they began installing their own equipment on our company’s telecom equipment. To ensure the information security of its subscribers, the physical safety of employees, and the integrity of the telecom network, Kyivstar was forced to temporarily suspend the provision of services in Crimea. The operator informed the National Commission of Informatization and Communications of Ukraine about this situation, and is awaiting instructions on further actions from the industry regulator,” the statement says.
