It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
“The businessmen provided forged documents from one of the authorities, according to which they allegedly received a contract for the reconstruction of the airport’s non-functional runway. In fact, on the instructions of the founder of the company, who was located in Russia, the attackers dismantled the airfield slabs and allegedly took them to Odessa using false invoices. Security service officers found out that upon completion of the transaction, the director of the enterprise was hiding in the Russian Federation,” the SBU press center reports.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 3 of Article 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement or taking of property through abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. One of the participants in the transaction, located in Kirovograd, was notified of suspicion of committing a crime. A pre-trial investigation is underway.
